Khartoum, (SUNA) The President of the Republic field Marshal Omer Al Basher has got acquainted with the performance of the Minister of Information during the past period , and its plans for the coming stage, this came when he met Monday at his office in the council of ministers the minister of information Eng. Abdulla Masar.

The Minister of Information indicated that he has briefed President Al Basher on the efforts of the ministry of information to complete the jobs construction and service conditions of the ministry's employees, calling in the same time on the necessity for coordination between the media organs and strengthening its role.He referred to the President's concern with commitment of the press to professionalism and credibility, affirming the government commitment to maintain freedom of work in the press field.The minister added that the press must avoid involvement in the personal and issues that related to the national security.The minister of information has affirmed that his meeting with the President of the Republic is of great impetus to the Ministry for the performance of its duty for the promotion of journalism and the development of media work.
