Al-Fasher, Feb 20 (SUNA) - The Especial US President Envoy to Darfur, Dan Smith has affirmed the US Administration support to the Regional Authority in Darfur and the Sudanese government to implement the Doha Peace Document on the ground .

The US diplomat who met, Monday, at TDRA Premises in Al-Fasher, the Assistant of the Chairman of the Regional Authority, Yassin Yousif Idriss and other senior officials expressed Washington readiness to contribute relief efforts in the region to encourage the return of the displaced and the refugees to their areas of origin .He lauded the progress made in the implementation of Doha Peace Document, especially, what concerning the decisions which were taken by the government and the Liberation and Justice Movement (LJM) and the establishment of TDRA Executive bodies, adding that the US Administration will encourage the concerned parties to implement the document .The American Envoy in press statements said his visit to the region aimed at congratulating the launching of the Regional Authority and reviewing spheres of cooperation and coordination to implement development and the early-recovery programs, explaining that he will visit South and West Darfur states for the purpose .
